Currency format settings

Show currency codes adds the currency code to every price in your store, so $25.00 shows as $25.00 USD. It is off by default. In the editor sidebar, click Theme settings, then select Currency format.

Turn it on when you sell in more than one currency, or when your currency sign is shared by other currencies, such as $ for US, Canadian and Australian dollars.

What changes

The code shows after every price the theme shows: on product cards, on the product page, in the cart drawer and on the cart page, in the free shipping message, and in the price range of a filter a customer has applied. Prices that change while a customer chooses a variant or edits the cart keep the code too.

Where the format comes from

The theme does not set how a price is written. It uses your store's own currency formats in the Shopify admin:

  • With Show currency codes on, prices use your store's format with the currency, such as ${{amount}} USD.

  • With it off, prices use your store's format without the currency, such as ${{amount}}.

To change where the sign goes, the number of decimals or the code itself, edit these formats in your Shopify admin, under Settings > General, in the Store defaults part. Formatting how currency displays to your customers has the steps.
