Collection list block

On this page

The Collection list block shows the collections you pick, as a grid of collection cards or as a row of small chips. To add one, click Add block in a Section, Card rail, Contact form, Offcanvas drawer, Orbit, Share, Subscription or Video section, or inside a Group block or Columns block, and select Collection list. The Collections grid section, on the page that lists all your collections, holds one Collection list block that cannot be removed.

Three collections in a row, Coffee, Drip Bags and Gear, each with a round photo over its name, a product count and a short description

Content

Setting

What it does

Collections

The collections to show, in the order you pick them. Each one shows its collection image, or its first product's image when the collection has none. Left empty, the block shows nothing on your store, except on the page that lists all collections, where it shows every collection.

Style

Grid, the default, shows a collection card for each collection. The cards' shape, image ratio, product count and description come from Collection card settings. Chips shows each collection as a small rounded label with a 40 px round photo and the name, without a count or a description. The chips wrap onto more lines, and the section's Alignment puts them at the left, in the center or at the right.

Columns

Shows when Style is Grid. From 2 to 6, and 5 by default. A card is never narrower than 144 px, so on a smaller screen the cards move onto more rows, and a phone shows two in a row. With fewer collections than columns, the cards keep their width and the rest of the row stays empty.

Maximum collections

How many of the picked collections show, from 1 to 24, and 4 by default. On the page that lists all collections, it is the number shown per page, with page links under the grid.

Layout

Setting

What it does

Width

How wide the block is. Text column keeps it to a centered column up to 864 px wide. Page width, the default, matches Page width in Layout settings. Full width runs from edge to edge of the section. Inside a Group or Columns block, it never grows past the space it has there.
