A new Checkmate theme has the demo store's colors, fonts and sections, but none of its content. The demo's logo, photos, videos, products and collections belong to the demo store, so they stay there. Fill in each part below with your own, and your store looks like the demo with your products in it.

Replace the demo's offers and text
Every heading, paragraph and message stays as the demo wrote it, including words about the demo's products, such as coffee in the Checkmate style. These parts promise customers an offer or give the demo store's details:
The messages in the Announcement bar section, each an Announcement block, such as 10% off with the code COFFEE10 and free shipping over $50.
The signup offer in the Popup section of the Overlays group, such as 10% off or early access. The popup opens by itself, after 20 seconds on a page or when the pointer leaves the window, as Display timing sets.
The footer's own text in the Footer section: Wordmark, Last column heading and Last column text, such as the word Fang, opening hours and a street address in the Fang style.
An Announcement bar you add later also starts with the COFFEE10 message, so change it there too. An empty Wordmark shows your store's name. The popup's form adds the customer's email address to your customer list, and the theme sends no discount code. If you keep an offer in it, create the discount in your Shopify admin and send the code to new subscribers yourself. Add a popup describes the popup's settings.
Go through each section on every template and replace the rest of the text with your own.
In the editor sidebar, select a section with a photo, such as Hero.
In its image setting, such as Background image, choose or upload a photo.
Repeat for each section. Blocks with a photo, such as an Image block, are listed under their section in the sidebar, so select each one too.
Click Save.
Image sizes lists the size and shape that look sharp in each section.
Choose your collections
Sections that showed a demo collection, such as Featured collection and Card rail, now have no collection. Until you choose one, they are hidden on your store, and the editor shows a message asking for a collection. A section that showed all products in the demo keeps showing all of yours.
In the editor sidebar, select a Featured collection or Card rail section.
In Collection, choose one of your collections.
Click Save.
Each point on a Hotspots section shows on your store only once you choose a product for it. A Blog posts section shows posts once you choose a blog in it.
Buttons and links that led to a demo collection, product or page now open your all products page, /collections/all. Select each button and change its link, such as Button link in the Hero section.
The header's mega menu opens only for a top-level menu link whose title matches the block's Menu item, such as Coffee in the Checkmate style. Your own menu has other titles, so Add a mega menu shows how to match them.
Fill in product pages
The demo's product pages show details stored on each product, such as its origin or its reviews. These details are metafields, and your products do not have them yet, so most of the sections that show them stay hidden. How each product gets its own content explains how the details reach the page.

Facts, Specifications, and the Marquee on the product page
The Variant option blocks on the product page each show one option by its name. The Checkmate style looks for options named grind and color, Lair for glaze, colour and size, and Fang for size. Upper and lower case do not matter. If your products use other names, the page shows no choice for them until you change Option name, as My product page doesn't show size or color choices explains.
The Lair and Fang demos list popular collections in the empty cart, and Lair offers gift wrap. Both start empty in your store. Choose your collections in Popular collections in Cart settings, and see Offer gift wrapping in the cart for the gift wrap product.
Each style's demo also shows a row of bestsellers in the empty cart page and on the search page before a search. In your store, these rows show only when it has a collection with the handle bestsellers. To use another collection, choose it under Collection in the Product carousel block of the cart page's Cart section, or of the Search section. Recommend products in the cart and Search section describe the blocks.
