The Newsletter form block adds an email field with a sign-up button to your store. Each address customers enter is saved in your Shopify admin, so you can send them emails with Shopify Email or another email app.
Where subscribers go
Each signup is saved as a customer in Customers in your Shopify admin, subscribed to email marketing. The form only collects addresses. To send emails, use Shopify Email or another email marketing app, as Shopify's guide to newsletter signups describes.
After a customer signs up, the page reloads and shows "Thanks for subscribing." under the field. To change the text, enter your own in Success message in the block.

Popup
The popup already has one, as Add a popup describes.
With Layout set to Image and link columns, the footer has its own form. With Centered, add a Newsletter form block to the Group block that holds the footer's buttons. Wordmark has no place for a form, so add a Subscription section with the Horizontal layout to the Footer group, above the Footer section.
Click Add block in the drawer and select Newsletter form. The drawer opens from the menu button in the announcement bar, or from any link to #OffcanvasDrawer.
At the top of the editor, select the page you want the form on, such as Home page.
In the editor sidebar, click Add section and select Subscription. The section comes with a heading, a Newsletter form block, a line of text and Social links.
In the Text block at the top of the section, enter your own heading.
Click Save.

Submit label and Button
Arrow shows an arrow at the end of the field. Label shows the Submit label, "Sign up" by default, in its place.
Notice text
A line of small text under the field. A new block reads "I agree to the terms and conditions", with no link. Add a link to your terms or privacy policy, or leave it empty to hide it.
Require agreement
Adds a checkbox before Notice text that customers must tick before they can sign up. Shows when Notice text has text.
If you build your signup form with the Shopify Forms app, add it as an app block in a section that takes apps, such as Popup, Subscription, Contact form or Section. Add an app to your store lists those sections.

Add a signup section to a page
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store.
Next to Checkmate, click Edit theme.
At the top of the editor, select the page you want the form on, such as Home page.
In the editor sidebar, click Add section and select Subscription. The section comes with a heading, a Newsletter form block, a line of text and Social links.
In the Text block at the top of the section, enter your own heading.
Click Save.
