Collections grid section

The Collections grid section lists your store's collections on the collections page, the page at /collections that the Collections link in the breadcrumbs opens. It comes with that page's template and can't be added to other pages. To change it, select the collections list template at the top of the editor.

Setting

What it does

Heading

Replaces the heading Collections. Leave it empty to keep it.

Breadcrumbs

A trail with Home and Collections. Above heading is the default. Below heading puts it under the heading. Hidden removes it.

Description

A paragraph under the heading.

Collection list

The grid itself is a Collection list block inside the section. You can change its settings, but you can't remove it or add another one.

Setting

What it does

Collections

The collections to show, in the order you pick them. Leave it empty to show every collection in your store, with page links under the grid.

Style

Grid, the default, shows each collection as a card with its image. Chips shows each one as a small rounded button with a round thumbnail and the name, in rows that wrap.

Columns

How many cards sit in a row on a large screen, from 2 to 6. Smaller screens show fewer. Shows when Style is Grid.

Maximum collections

How many collections show, from 1 to 24. When Collections is empty, it is the number on each page before the page links.

Width

Page width keeps the grid inside the page margins. Text column makes it narrower. Full width stretches it to the edges of the screen.

The look of each card, such as a circle or a tile, and whether it shows the product count, comes from Collection card settings and applies to collection cards everywhere in your store. The Collection list block can also go in other sections.
