The Blog section lists the posts of a blog, newest first. It comes with the blog template and can't be added to other pages. To change it, select the blogs template at the top of the editor. Every blog in your store uses the same settings. To show a few posts on your home page, use the Blog posts section instead.
Layout
Alignment places the heading, the breadcrumbs and the tag links at the left, in the center or at the right. Padding top, Padding bottom, Margin top and Margin bottom set the space around the section. Section layout settings describes them.

What it does
Show tag filter
Shows a row of links under the heading: All, then every tag used on the blog's posts. A link shows only the posts with that tag. The row hides when no post has a tag.
Style
Rows, the default, gives each post a full-width row: the title on the left, the photo in the middle, and the date, a short description and a Read article link on the right. Grid shows posts as cards with the photo above the title. Featured post and grid shows the newest post as a full-width row, then the other posts as a grid. On phones, every style stacks each post's photo and text.
Columns
How many cards sit in a row on a large screen, from 2 to 4. The default is 3. Smaller screens show fewer. Shows when Style is Grid or Featured post and grid.
Posts per page
How many posts show before the page links, from 4 to 24. The default is 12.
Show image
Shows each post's featured image. A post without one keeps an empty frame of the same shape.
Show date and author
Shows a line with the date, an estimated reading time, such as 3 min read, and the author's name.
Show short description
Shows the post's excerpt, or the first words of the post when it has no excerpt, cut to 24 words.
Show tags on posts
Shows each post's tags above its title, as links to the posts with that tag.
The featured post in Featured post and grid shows only on the first page of posts. A blog with no posts shows No articles yet. Check back soon.
