Layout settings

On this page

The Layout settings set the icon in the browser tab and how wide the content of every page can get. To find them, open the theme editor. In the editor sidebar, click Theme settings, then select Layout. Space between sections is set in each section, as Section layout settings describes.

The Layout group holds four settings, from Favicon to Section spacing.

What it does

Favicon

The small icon in the browser tab. Use a square image. Browsers get it at 32 x 32 px, so a simple mark reads better than a full logo.

Page width

The widest the content of a section can get on a large screen. S stops at 1,300 px, M at 1,520 px and L at 1,920 px. Content set to the narrow column, such as a block with Width set to Text column, stays at 864 px whatever you choose. Full-width photos and backgrounds always reach the edges of the screen. All three styles use Normal.

Page margin

The space between the content and the left and right edges of the screen, from 10 to 100 px. Screens up to 1,000 px wide, such as phones and tablets, get exactly this space. On wider screens it grows with the screen, up to 100 px.

Section spacing

Scales the space between sections and the space inside them on every page, from 50% to 150%. At 100% each section keeps the Margin top, Margin bottom and padding it is set to. Lower makes every page denser, higher makes it airier. The Checkmate style uses 80%, Lair 120% and Fang 100%.

To change the space around one section only, change its Margin top and Margin bottom. Section spacing then scales them with the rest of the page.
