Page section

On this page

The Page section shows a page you write in Online Store > Pages in your Shopify admin: its title, and under it the text you entered. The editor names it Page. It comes with every page template and can't be added to other pages. To change the one most pages use, select Pages, then Default page at the top of the editor.

The About, Contact and FAQ page templates start with this section too, followed by sections of their own. Each template keeps its own copy, so a change to the default page does not change them. Create a page with its own layout explains how to add sections to one page.

Layout

Alignment places the title, the breadcrumbs and the description at the left, in the center or at the right. The page's text sits in a centered column up to 720 px wide and always lines up at the left. Padding top, Padding bottom, Margin top and Margin bottom set the space around the section. Section layout settings describes them.

Setting What it does
Heading Replaces the page's title. Leave it empty to show each page's own title. A heading you enter shows on every page that uses this template.
Breadcrumbs A trail with Home and the page's title. Above heading is the default. Below heading puts it under the title. Hidden removes it.
Description A paragraph under the title, shown on every page that uses this template.

A page with a title and no text shows only the title area.
