Remove the Powered by Shopify link

Hide the Powered by Shopify link in your footer. Shopify adds the link, and its text lives in your theme's default content, so you remove it there without editing code.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store.

  2. Next to your theme, click the three-dot icon.

  3. Select Edit default theme content.

  4. In the Filter items box, enter powered. The Autocomplete powered by google and Powered by shopify fields show.

  5. In the Powered by shopify field, delete the text and enter a single space.

    This field holds the link text at the bottom of your footer, next to the copyright line.

  6. Click Save.

The link no longer shows in your footer.

The Autocomplete powered by google field belongs to checkout, not to your footer. Shopify's guide has the same steps for the Shopify app.

If the link still shows after you save, check that you changed the theme that is published, then contact support.
