Your products have stock in your Shopify admin, and your store shows them as Sold out. Your theme shows Sold out when Shopify reports that the customer looking at the page can't buy the product. Each cause below is a Shopify setting, and the theme follows it.
Check who sees Sold out
A product can be for sale to customers in one country and sold out for customers in another, because Shopify checks whether it can ship the product to them. If the product is for sale when you open your store and only customers in another country see Sold out, the cause is shipping, in the next section. If you see Sold out too, the cause is inventory.
A product that shows your store's "page not found" page instead of Sold out is not in the catalog for the customer's market. Shopify's guide to catalogs for markets explains how to add it.
You don't ship to the customer's country
Shopify shows a product as out of stock to a customer when it can't be shipped to them from a location that holds its stock. Your products then show Sold out to customers in that country, while they are for sale in yours. Stores created since April 2024 work this way. Older stores can choose to show all products instead.
To sell to that country, give it a shipping rate from a location that holds your stock:
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.
In the shipping profile that holds your products, add the country to a shipping zone, or add a zone for it, such as Rest of world.
If a product is sold out in every country, look at its inventory in your Shopify admin.
The quantity is 0 and Track quantity is on. Customers can't add the product to their cart. Add stock, or turn on Continue selling when out of stock on the product's page.
The stock sits at a location that does not fulfill online orders. Open the location in Settings > Locations and check that Inventory at this location is available to fulfill online orders is on.
A product card shows Sold out only when no variant can be bought. On the product page, the add to cart button shows Sold out when the customer selects a variant that has no stock, and the other variants stay for sale. If one size or color always shows Sold out, check that variant's quantity in the product's Variants section.
